Bowser handed me off to Dr. Wily, and I've been held here since. Dr. Wily sounds nervous about matching up against you and your friends if his newest robot masters can't handle you. I did find out that Dr. Wily has one of the star fragments you need in his possession, hidden somewhere among the robots... and I was able to steal a schematic while he was showing off his evil laboratory!
Oh drat, Dr. Wily's handing me over to his boss—they're going to move me again! You'll have to follow through the warps.
