Each answer from this round is two words, with the first word appearing in one of the first eight films in the Nightmare on Elm Street series. (The ninth film is a series reboot whose title duplicates the first and isn't used here.)
Each puzzle's title prominently includes two Lovecraftian adjectives. As the flavortext hints, solvers must find the number of times each adjective appears in the works of Lovecraft and take the difference between the two. Bolded letters in the flavortext spell ARKHAM ARCHIVIST which is a website dedicated to the complete works of H.P Lovecraft, and which contains the resources needed to perform this task. In fact, this site has a post that has this exact information: http://arkhamarchivist.com/wordcount-lovecraft-favorite-words/.
Sorting answers in Nightmare on Elm Street series order, then using the differences in word frequencies to index into the second word of each puzzle answer gives this dreamer's kick: CRY "OH GOD".
