Answer:
CRAYOLA

We are split into groups of 3-4 people and sit separated by dividers, so we are unable to see each other but can hear each other.

This event is composed of three parts.

For the origami sub event, one person is given origami paper, and the rest of us are given the origami instructions. The origami paper team can't see the instructions, and vice versa. We must communicate how to fold the origami without using the following words:

  • Fold
  • Valley/Mountain
  • Crease
  • Paper
  • Half
  • Diagonal/Horizontal/Vertical
  • Outside/Inside
  • Outwards/Inwards
  • Above/Below
  • Top/Bottom/Left/Right
  • North/East/South/West
  • Center/Corner
  • Middle
  • Above/Below/High/Low
  • Triangle/Square/Diamond
  • Butterfly

For the collage sub event, two people are given scissors, glue, and the following paper patterns:

Two patters: Light pink rectangle with large red triangles scattered. Dark blue and purple wavy lines.Yellow and orange zigzag lines. A light blue circle, green square, and two black arrows.

The rest of us are given this image:

A green puzzle piece on top of a dark blue circle. Black arrows point out from the circle. The background has a yellow-and-orange checkerboard, solid light blue and purple regions, and a pink regions with tiny red triangles all pointing upwards.

We must communicate how to assemble the image.

For the drawing sub event, we are all given a transparency sheet and three or four colored sharpies. We are then told to collectively draw the following prompt: “Birds on a beach at sunset: a parrot is in a hammock connected to palm trees, a peacock and a flamingo play beach volleyball, and a penguin is swimming in the ocean.” At the end of this sub event, we overlay all our transparencies to create the final image.

At the end of the event, we are given the answer CRAYOLA to input into the hunt website.
