Diary

One of the museum’s most interesting objects is this mysterious diary. The inscription on the inside of its cover says “It’s remarkable all the things you can see if you just stay in one particular place, day after day.”

Encountered a strange individual today. She told me that she had found a mysterious book in her lab that made some groundbreaking advances in science and as a result she wanted to now prevent the assassination of President Lincoln from happening? She hissed a lot so I wasn’t able to understand very much.

I did notice one of her friends with a green bowtie had a distinctive symbol on her pink sleeve though.

Bumped into a man with a rather prominent goatee visiting his friend here; she was giving him a tour. He told me that he, his uncle, and his friend’s father all went to a college I’d never heard of in Connecticut. I asked his friend why she chose to come here, and she went off about some geeks hacking an internet poll.

Right before I said goodbye he told me about something interesting he had spotted in a tree.

Crossed paths with a mother and her son today. She was recently reminded of an event from her youth in which a firefighter rescued her from a well, saving her life. She wanted to prove that she had not wasted the years since that event and was working feverishly to try to solve the Yang Mills existence and mass gap problem in order to prove her worth. Her son mostly spent the whole time dancing while shirtless—weird guy.

Before she left she mumbled something about needing to multiply her final answer by 8 to get the correct mass. Not sure what that meant.

Almost got burned by this superhero who stopped by today. The dude was literally on fire and was carrying a dead body infected by some strange disease. He told me he was looking for smart people who could help him and his “unity squad” figure out how to stop the deadly plant creatures that were taking over on the other side of the river and causing the infections.

As he was talking, I couldn’t take my eyes off the hat the dead guy was wearing.

I ran into quite the character today. They were in a bit of a rush—apparently they needed to deliver a long silver tube bearing some good news to a particular location in South America.

I wasn’t sure how they were planning to get there at first, but when they showed me the mechanism they were using, it brought back a particular memory.

I talked to a daughter, her mother and her baby sister today. She told me that she and her family were visiting the area because her father wanted to convince her older brother that this city was terrible. She seemed quite taken with the vibe around here though—she’d fit right in I suspect.

At one point she excitedly pointed out a guy wearing a cowboy hat and I noticed 5 identical symbols on the side of his leg.

I met a football player today who was in considerable distress. He told me that some professor discovered how to travel between multiverses and got stuck in their universe, and the resulting disruption was causing all sorts of problems.

After talking with him, I spoke to a red-headed individual a little further southwest who gave me a rather interesting token.

Came across someone today who was wandering around with their dog—a German shepherd with an interesting name. They told me that they were searching for their son and trying to avenge their spouse’s death.

Before they left they told me about a certain room in the building in front of us with six blue desks and a particular round object located in the back corner near a large trunk.
