Solution to The Cat's Meow

Each picture clues CAT and some other word. Together, plus one extra letter, they form a larger word. The letters C, A, and T appear contiguously and in order in the resulting word. The other word may be broken, but the letters appear in order.

Use the extra letter from each word to extract.

CAT + COMB = CATACOMB - A
CAT + TRUE = TRUNCATE - N
CAT + SHIN = SCATHING - G
