Solution to p1ctures

by Brian Chen

Answer: EKING

The puzzle page looks empty. However, there's a blank image file on it. The file name is p1cture.png.

The title says p1ctures, plural, and this is a clue that there are other image files in the same place that you have to access by guessing the image name. By guessing to check p2cture.png and so on, you find that:

The sequence 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, ... begins the 3-smooth numbers — that is, numbers divisible by no primes other than 2 and 3. The 1000th term of this sequence is 36028797018963968 (which can be found with a program or directly on the OEIS, as it has 10000 terms), so you should check p36028797018963968cture.png. This image displays the answer, EKING.

(As an additional clue/easter egg, picture.png says "Sorry, there aren't any imaginary numbers in this puzzle. Nice try, though.")
