Reverse Dimension Doctor 3
by Dan Katz and Thomas Snyder
Answer: GREEN PUPPY
Companion Half: His Investigative Journalist, Sarah Jane Smith
The images behind the yellow-pencil links are all of fictional newspapers from the word list. The letter given along with each image only appears in the newspaper name once; the unique index is the number that should be inserted in the sudoku at that position. The newspapers corresponding to each square, and the resulting numbers, are shown below:

The resulting sudokus and their solutions are shown below.
The images behind the red-pencil links have no given letters and are all the same image, of the DAILY PLANET. Once the sudokus are solved, the numbers in these squares (bolded in the image above), from left to right, are 1-10-9-11-2-7 in the first grid and 6-2-11-3-10-9-11 in the second. Using these numbers as indices into DAILY PLANET gives the Companion answer DENTAL PATIENT.
Doctor Half: The Elderly Gentleman who Wants to Reverse the Polarity of the Neutron Flow, the Third Doctor
The many many rickroll links are intended to make the solver laugh and/or hate the constructor, and they are otherwise irrelevant. The ten non-rickroll images in the left grid are screen captures from noted viral videos; the names of a few of these videos are not completely canonical, but common names for them can be chosen to fit the ten non-rickroll enumerations in the right grid. The locations of the images are shown below:
Left Grid:
- A - Chocolate Rain
- B - This Land
- C - Star Wars Kid
- D - Leeroy Jenkins
- E - Leave Britney Alone
- F - The Landlord
- G - Charlie the Unicorn
- H - Miss South Carolina
- I - Thriller
- J - Lazy Sunday
Right Grid:
- A - 9 4
- B - 4 4 3
- C - 8
- D - 4 5 8
- E - 6 7
- F - 7 3 7
- G - 4 4
- H - 4 6
- I - 5 7 5
- J - 3 8
Overlaying the sudokus from the first part gives two numbers for each video (one from the left grid and one from the right). The left-grid numbers are all different, and so they suggest an ordering for the videos per the red buttons. (There is a 6 missing, but that turns out to be a space in the grey button's slot.) The right-grid numbers are used as indices into the names, giving:
- LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE (1,6) - B
- CHARLIE THE UNICORN (2,5) - L
- LAZY SUNDAY (3,6) - U
- THRILLER (4,7) - E
- THIS LAND (5,4) - S
- (6) – space
- CHOCOLATE RAIN (7,4) - C
- THE LANDLORD (8,8) - L
- MISS SOUTH CAROLINA (9,7) - U
- LEEROY JENKINS (10,2) - E
- STAR WARS KID (11,1) - S
And so the Doctor answer is BLUE'S CLUES.
Doctor and Companion Clue:
The combined clue is BLUE'S CLUES DENTAL PATIENT, which in the Blue's Clues book Green Puppy Goes to the Dentist is GREEN PUPPY.
