Charlotte Amalie: Solution

In this puzzle there were five partial scripts, each labeled with a color: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.

Each color had a (possibly overlapping) set of questions and cues which indicated when to say those questions. The goal for the writing team was to get teams talking with one another. The goal for a solving team was to figure out which one question (on any color's sheet) was unanswerable in the play. Thus each team had to meet with 4 other teams (each of the other colors) to be able to cross off all of their questions as answerable and determine if there were any unanswerable questions that they had left.

When the 10 possible scenes are reconstructed, each scene ends with an unanswered question. Even though there are 10 scenes, there were only 7 ending questions:

Y: *What was Jackie Kennedy's maiden name?
R: *Whats that movie called that stars Emma Thompson and her real life mother?
B: *What is like pool without pockets?
R: *Who is the current president of the United States?
G: *What bank has an ATM on the corner of Vassar and mass ave?
P: *What is the capital of spain?
Y: *Who died with that on his lips?

Of these questions, six are answered in some other scene (that is, the questions occur before the end of the scene, and thefore technically have a response). The only truly unanswered one was: What is like pool without pockets? The answer is, therefore, BILLIARDS.
